Bespoke insurance from BASC

Game shootingThe British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) has launched a new range of insurance policies.

The policies include various options to suit country sports enthusiasts, from off-road vehicle insurance and gun insurance in case of damage during transportation, to personal accident cover of up to £200,000 on BASC-recognised activities. The travel insurance policies cover shooting and fishing, including big game hunting and safaris, cancellation reimbursement and cover for partners and family.

The new bespoke insurance can also cover coaches and professionals (gamekeepers, deer stalkers, safety officers, etc.), including public liability, professional indemnity and personal accident.

“These insurance policies have been designed by AIM Risk Services with BASC members in mind,” said Nick Glazebrook, BASC’s head of business development. “Together we have identified gaps in the market where many standard policies do not cover shooting and related activities. These policies cover those gaps.”
