Great British Game Week hailed as success

Great British Game week, which ran from 24-30 November, has been hailed as a success. Only in its second year, the week – a collaborative campaign between BASC’s Taste of Game and the Countryside Alliance’s Game To Eat teams – aims to get more people cooking and eating game meat by raising awareness around game’s availability and culinary possibilities. Jack Knott of Game To Eat commented, “This is our second year and Great British Game Week is going from strength to strength. It was extremely pleasing to see and hear of so many people taking part and making the most of what this country offers. “Thank you to all those businesses that took part and offered deals and special process throughout the week. Your involvement is priceless and without it the week would not be possible. We also thank all those that reached out to friends and family to give them the opportunity of trying game for the first time. “Breaking down the barriers, so wild game is recognised as an everyday, yearlong, source of meat is paramount to the Game to Eat campaign’s success.”
