This year’s Game Fair is set to be held at Harewood House in Yorkshire from Friday 31 July until Sunday 2 August. Taking place on Saturday, 1 August, the City Shots Challenge clay shooting competition gives British companies the change to take part in this highly acclaimed shoot-off.
The competition was won last year by London Shooting Club, and this year the prize up for grabs is the coveted City Shots Trophy and a £2,000 voucher, donated by sponsor, Charles Stanley. The competition will be held on the Shooting Line, in front of the Main Arena.
Entry costs £1,200+VAT per team, which includes CLA Game Fair tickets for four Guns, corporate hospitality, VIP parking for two cars, and a company mention in pre- and post-event media releases.
The final for the Lady Shot of the Year competition will also be held on Saturday, part of the brand new Ladies Day event. The final, organised by the Shotgun and Chelsea Bun Club, will determine who will take the grand prize from those who succeed in the qualifying heats, taking place at 23 locations across the country on 27 June (and there are still spaces left, click here to book). The top three scorers in beginners, intermediate and advanced categories in the qualifying heats will then be invited to shoot in the final of the competition, a 30-bird sporting layout over a range of stands.
The grand prize is a Shotgun and Chelsea Bun Club tweed blazer, plus goodies donated by Fur, Feather and Fin.
Money raised by the competition will go in aid of Victoria’s Promise.
