Competition: High Birds in May

Sign up now for the Whitfield Annual Clay Shoot, taking place on 9-10 May near Hexham, Northumberland.


One of the largest clay shoots in the country, this traditional competition started many years ago and has substantially grown, raising £35,250 for good causes last year alone. The Countryside Alliance and the GWCT are some of the organisations to receive donations from the event. Proceeds from last year’s shoot also helped to rebuild a Victorian suspension bridge in Northumberland (see below).

This year’s shoot will include 10 different simulated game flushes. To fill in form for a team submission, click here.

Teams of four cost £340 to participate, and please note that semi autos and plastic wads are not permitted.
