The Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust has raised more than £15,000 at an exclusive wine tasting and action event.
Held at the Caledonian Club in London on 1 October, over 50 people attended, raising vital funds for scientific research for rural conservation. Attendees sampled several fine vintages before the wine auction, led by Humphrey Butler, antique jewellery specialist. The total funds were raised from 13 wine-related lots, donated by various supporters of the Trust. The GWCT’s London events organizer, Lucy Pearson, said: “Our very generous supporters raided their cellars and pulled out wonderful wines to donate as lots, making the auction one of our most tantalizing and successful yet.”
